Mood and Proactive Behavior in the Work Context

In this research project, we address the question if mood at work is related to proactive behavior at the job. We hypothesize that not only positive affective states, but also negative affective states might be positively related to proactive work behavior. In our study, we adopt an action-process model of proactive work behavior in which we differentiate between anticipation, planning, and execution of the behavior. In the empirical part of the project we collect day-level data in organizations.
